Getting to Haida Gwaii

There are two ways to get to Haida Gwaii - by air or by ferry.

Air Canada offers daily flights year-round from the Vancouver International Airport to Sandspit, Haida Gwaii.

Pacific Coastal Airlines also offers daily flights from the Vancouver Airport (South Terminal) directly to Massett, Haida Gwaii.

Inland Air offers flights via seaplanes from the Prince Rupert directly to Massett and Queen Charlotte.

BC Ferries provides year-round ferry service from Prince Rupert to Skidegate, Haida Gwaii. The trip takes about 8 hours, and reservations are required for both foot-passengers and people with vehicles. There is also an inside-passage route offered which takes you from Port Hardy on Vancouver Island to Prince Rupert, where you then connect and transfer onto the ferry to Skidegate. The inside-passage trip takes roughly 15 hours.
